Hi Lovies!

Happy Holiday! Hope you all had an amazing Christmas. I know it has been a while since we have posted a Real Wedding on the site, but things have been crazy since the launch. We promise 2016 is going to be jam packed with lots of fun new content.

As we are bringing 2015 to an end, we wanted to close the year with a bang. This week we are featuring the top two weddings of 2015! We are going to start it off with the gorgeous wedding of Mary and Jonathan. Everything about this wedding is jaw droopingly gorgeous, from the bride's stunning Pronovias gown, to the opulent flowers by Lorraine Flowers.

Here is a little bit of Mary and Jon's story...

From the Bride...Jon and I had been living a few minutes away from each other for years but were complete strangers. We met online of all places. We always joke that we should be in a match commercial. Two months after we started dating, Jon got promoted at work and had to relocate to New York within two weeks. A few days before his departure he asked me if I would take time off of work and go with him for the weekend. I was hesitant to say yes but I couldn't turn down an adventure to my hometown! During my stay, Jon got very sick and I had to rush him to the ER. He was unable to leave the hotel room for the rest of the weekend. On the very last day, he mustered up enough energy to take me to Times Square and show me around the city. He kept thanking me for taking care of him while he was sick and said "I owe you another trip to New York". On our way to the airport, Jon surprised me by taking me to see the home that I grew up in as a child in Brooklyn. It was so sweet and sentimental and really touched my heart. When it was finally time to say good bye, Jon hugged me tight at the airport and I started getting teary eyed. I looked at him and he had tears in his eyes too. Less than a week later, my one way ticket was booked to New York and the rest is history (and some magic too!).

We chose to get married in Puerto Rico because we wanted to give our family and friends an excuse to escape to paradise for a few days.We vacation on the island once a year. Every trip is unique and different in its own way. With so much to do and see, the adventures are endless. When our trip nears its end, we find ourselves wishing we could stay forever. This happens every time. "We could just live in a shack on the beach and open up a fruit stand" we would say. That's all we would need in this magical paradise. Our vision for the big day was an elegant and sophisticated wedding with a cosmopolitan feel, so we chose to have our wedding in Old San Juan. The theme was old world elegance which is why we chose Antiguo Casino as our venue. We wanted a formal, upscale, black tie affair. We were inspirted by the stunning chandeliers which is why the décor mimics them and touches of gold found in the casino.During the planning process, we approached every detail with an intent to wow our guests and create a truly unique and memorable experience.
