We all know that in Puerto Rico it can rain at a moments notice, but todays couple didn’t let that ruin their big day!
From the beginning they decided that this was their big day and they would make sure to stay true to themselves through out the whole process. From choosing their country like venue, to the “canecas” of “coquito” or “pitorro” that they gave their guests as favors.
On their big day an unexpected storm delayed their wedding by two hours! Instead of their planned outside ceremony they had to move it under a tent, therefore all the guests had to surround the couple as opposed to sitting. This became a very intimate moment with their closest family and friends they will never forget. One of the most special moments of the ceremony however was when the couple exchanged rings and also exchanged a pendant with their daughter symbolizing that they were all joining their lives together.
From the Groom...My most memorable moment was when I saw Laura walking towards the bridesmaids and we could finally start the ceremony. She looked beautiful and her smile was to die for. I was smiling because that was the woman whom I would spend the rest of my life with.
From the Bride…My most memorable moment was that, after being delayed for 2 hours due to the heavy rains and other misfortunes, and desperate to finally get to the wedding, I had a shot of “pitorro” with my father and the bridesmaids. I got off the car and walked through the rain and mud, to finally stand in a very small corner of the tarp. Then, I was finally able to march down the aisle and hug my soon-to-be-husband. That was a dream come true.
